Booking Terms — Key Points

This page summarises the key points a client should understand before confirming a booking.

The £20 Deposit

What the deposit does

  • Secures your chosen date and time slot.
  • Confirms your booking — no date is held without a paid deposit.
  • Is deducted from your final balance, which is payable on completion.
  • Is collected securely via Stripe. We never store your card details.

When is the deposit refunded?

  • You cancel more than 48 hours before your appointment.
  • Glint cancels or cannot fulfil the booking.
  • Glint revises the price and you choose not to proceed.

When is the deposit forfeited?

  • You cancel between 24–48 hours before the appointment.
  • You cancel less than 24 hours before the appointment.
  • Our Cleaner cannot gain access to the property at the agreed time.

Pricing

All prices shown on the website are baselines. Your final price will be confirmed before we begin work and may vary based on property size, condition, parking, and any add-ons selected. If the final price differs from the estimate, we will always inform you first — you are never charged without agreement.

Cancellation Summary

  • More than 48 hours before: cancel or reschedule for free. Full deposit refunded.
  • 24–48 hours before: reschedule free of charge. Cancel and the £20 deposit is forfeited.
  • Less than 24 hours before / same day: deposit forfeited. If Cleaner is already mobilised, a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the service value may apply.

Your Responsibilities

  • Ensure safe, unobstructed access to the property at the agreed time.
  • Ensure hot water and electricity are available during the clean.
  • If fridge/freezer cleaning is booked, it must be fully emptied and defrosted beforehand.
  • Secure or remove fragile, antique, or high-value items before our Cleaner arrives.
  • Notify us of any access codes, keys, pets, or health-and-safety considerations in advance.

Recurring Services

Recurring arrangements continue until cancelled with at least 7 days’ notice. Individual cleans within a recurring arrangement are subject to the same cancellation policy above.

Your Data

We collect your name, email, phone, address, and service details to manage your booking. We use Resend (email) and Stripe (payments). We never sell your data. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.

Consumer Rights

By booking and paying a deposit, you request that we perform the Service within 14 days. This means you acknowledge that you may lose your standard 14-day online cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 once the Service has been completed. Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (that services must be performed with reasonable care and skill) are not affected.
